Tallinn the small Estonian capital port on the Baltic Sea I been there in winter time I remember the temperature was very very cold all the city frozen I stayed on old Tannillinna Hotel comfort luxury medieval hotel very nice.
For to reach Tallinn you can take Ryanair all year from Bergamo or Baltic air from Venice during the summer time, I went there with Baltic Bus a long travel around Europe 12 days travel (Austria ,Czech, Poland ,Lithuania stop in Vilnius and change bus to Latvia).
We discovery the city through the wonderful Tallinn City Sightseeing ,you can chose three different line (the red one ,green and blue line).
The red one its the central line departure from the old town Toompea and goes to Estonian Art -Museum Kumu inside its possible to see arts from all Estonia and also from international Artists the tour arrive in the best Tallinn sights the Kadriorg Palace built for Queen Caterina of Russia I on the project of venetian architect Nicola Michetti surrounding by a wonderful Park .
The blue line goes in the west part of the City and arrive till Rocca al Mare open air museum, where you can feel the Estonian life in last century along the Kopli Last lagoon.
The green line depart from central station and goes to the eastern part of the city you can stop in Russalka monument the bronze external statue sculpted from Amandus Adamson in 1907 ,
Pirita Convent in Estonian Piriita Klooster ex monastery of S.Brigida .
Return back in Town Center its all covers by medieval wall and doors our tour begin from Viru shopping Mall and than on walk you are in town center-hill Toompea here you can visit the Castle in medieval style today its the Estonian government building ,church of S.Olav ,the symbol of Tallinn Raekoda or town Hall situated in the Raekoja plats, here you can do shopping in the more souvenir shops in town ,Kiek in de Kok the famous medieval towers in Town very amazing sight,
close to Raeapteek the oldest Estonian farmacy and the wonderful orthodox Aleksander Nevskij Catherdral with its black onion cuples only for Russian people
Don't forget to visit in winter time the xmas Market situated in Raekoja Plats , where you can buy amazing Estonia handcrafts and drinks the good liquor Vana Tallin .
The Estonian people speak Estonian proud but many people speak Russian the language of the older Russian people and the young talk very fluently English .
